2018 edition... must be fresh (reviewed March 2018). As description says, drink fresh and get the hops and this is exactly what I smell at first pour. Then, the butterscotch comes out to take over. Clean, deep amber colour with golden-amber highlights. Beige head, good retention and wavy creamy lacing. The mouthfeel is also a little creamy with some building dryness in the finish, keeping it average and drinkable. The alcohol is well-hidden. The taste shows off the nice hoppiness as well, over the caramel malt base. Nothing too complex, but goes down easily, with the hops helping the usual sweetness. Very slight haziness at the last pour.
