“Lancaster Blonde is a uniquely vivid golden bitter. Blonde has been designed to offer a quality cask conditioned ale to drinkers seeking a pale beer with real taste and aromatic impact. This most stylish and contemporary beer is crafted from pale Maris Otter Malt and carefully combined with Germanic style Munich Malt. The slightly citrus and delicate earthy aromas are created by a combination of First Gold and imported Saaz hops. The initial bitterness is followed by a delightful mouth feel culminating with a long dry finish. " - Slight Citrus flavour with a delicate biscuit overtone.

Fruity aroma has a malty undertone, not much else. Pours a clear bright yellow with a fairly thick white head. Flavor is a little malty and a little fruity, with a weird varnish-like hint. Texture is rather thin and lacking fizz. Overall, not too hot. Nevertheless, it is drinkable, fine if nothing else is available.

500 ml bottle, a Christmas present from my nephew Einar, thanks! ABV is 4.1%. Golden colour, moderate white head, nice lacing. Moderate aroma, hints of citrus and elderflower. The flavour is fresh and zesty with notes of citrussy hops, also hints of tropical fruits, but the beer is not sweet. A firm bitterness in the finish, very nice. A decent refreshment ale.

Cask@GBBF2007. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, some flowery hops and slight nectary and hoppy hints. Flavour is grassy, hoppy, slightly salty. Quite watery palate.
