https://lagunitas.com/beers/aunt-sally# We soured the wort on the Hot Side with Lactobacillus for a few days and then brewed up this smooth and hoppy sour. It tastes like a big bowl of fruity candy or some chewable flavored vitamins, but what's the difference? It's sweet, tart, and sassy, just like the tasty cherry pie that your favorite aunt makes. For all the Aunt Sally's out there, You know who you are...

Pours clear topaz with a tick and persistent porcelain head. Aroma delivers dank, tart fruit, resiny hops, and light fresh malt notes. Flavor features strongly tart fruit, dankness, resiny hops and fresh malt, crisp and pucker-worthy. Mouthfeel presents fair body, peppy fizz, and a hoppy and sour finish. Say hello to your dear Aunt Sally.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear straw yellow with a big fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass some.

The aroma is tart fruity sourness and green hops.

The flavor is tart lactic sour with funky fruit and some hops in the finish. There's a little green apple in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low carbonation.

    Overall, a nice hoppy sour.

Let it be said, I don't quite know what to make of this. Nose is mild with hints of sweet tarts (are you old enough for that reference?), hint of pine and of pineapple. Pours a very clear pale yellow with a dead white head that is frothy and has good retention and very good lace. The mouth is clean but lite bodied, carbonation well done. Flavor is , well, odd. Initially (and shortly) the malt presents itself but it quickly goes to , what can I say, mild sweet tarts. Its quirky, its well done, its not complex, it finishes sour and then sweet. Its unusual and its balls for Lagunitas to mass market this and I kind of like it!

A bright orange-golden colored beer with a big sudsy textured, white head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. It settles on thick fluffs atop the body. Light sour, fruity nose. More of the same in the tasting with interesting grassy notes. Crisp and refreshing. Well done.
