I thought I’d heard this was a gusher, but I was seriously mistaken. Pours a nice amber with a nice head, with a nice lace down the glass. Oh, as it’s dry-hopped, I poured it through a strainer. Aroma? Yeah, you could say that. I smelled hops before I even lifted the bottle after I uncapped it. Wow. Flavor is of a really hopped Strong Ale. I’m sensing apricots and...something else I can’t quite put my finger on, forgive the dangling participle. Palate is creamy and full, yet cleansing. Overall, this is great. I’m glad LaConner is doing the dry-hopped IPA through Bottleworks. This is an awesome brewery which seems to me to be unable to do wrong.

GABF ’03. (Rating Fourth Anniversary Ale). Nice amber color with thin head. Floral hoppy taste which was not hoppy or malty enough to make this anything above average.

This brew pours with an orange body topped by a medium thick head with good lacing. The aroma is sweet, grapefruity and hoppy with notes of tropical fruits and a slight piney note. The flavor is sweet and piney with bitter hoppy notes and a little candy sugar. Medium to full bodied and dry.
