    Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9

750 ml capped bottle. Poured in the original designed La Gaillarde chalice an unfiltered and deep-brown, close to black, coloured Brown Ale with a minimum half a finger tan foamy head that had a short retention and no micro bubbles. Low carbonation. No lacing. The aroma is roasted and burned malts, coffee beans, dark fruits, raisins, plums, pronounced woody notes and an obviously alcoholic feeling. The flavour is roasted malts, dark riped fruits, raisins, plums, vinous notes, a marked bitterness and hints of ashes. The mouthfeel is crispy, sparkling and a bit sweety. This medium to full bodied Brown Ale has a lingering malty and fruity finish. An unexpected and welcome gift from a new,( starded 09/2010 ),and tiny brewery in the French Region Midi-Pyrénées.
