I’m not too sure what Purine is, or why it’s a good thing to have 90% less of it in a beer. But of the various happo-shu beers that I’ve tried while working here in Sasebo (Nagasaki Prefecture), this is probably the least vile of the bunch. An odd sweet middle and finish to the flavor, and slightly synthetic vibe to the whole presentation. The hop-head in me screams “this needs more hops!”, but still, a fairly workable and not unappealing beer.
