pours a clear straw colour with a fluffy white head that drops away quickly and leaves no lacing. The aroma is normal boring clean aromas that you expect from Japanese macro. Slight bit of sulphur and maltish. he taste is the same as the aroma. Clean and boring. Nothing offensive. The mouthfeel is thin and watery.

This lager is a typical Japanese affair, rice brewed I believe. The aroma is a bit sickly to my mind and it is a little too sweet for my tastes. It's different.

I drink it if I'm at a Japanese restaurant or with sushi sometimes. It's not a greta beer, but not bad either. A little lighter and less flavorful than I normally like.

Light gold, with an anorexic head. Aroma mixes vauge continental hop notes with grains and background solvent notes. Very light body. Grainy palate with a sweetish edge. Unpleasant notes of higher alcohols hide underneath.

I wasn't sure the Japanese could do beer, but they did. I've had this at a few trendy spots in both Chicago and Toronto. It's a pale gold colour like a lot of lagers. The aroma is weak to non-existant. The mouthfeel is thin and water with a lot of carbonation. The flavour is week with grainy tones.

Sampled with some sushi. Overall not bad. Very weak on flavor and color as it was very light brownish yellow. It goes down smooth and can be sake bombed but as a solo beer its not great.

Had this at a Japanese place on Pittsburgh's South Side called Nakama. Like the Asahi Super Dry that I suffered through, Kirin lager is nothing more than Japanese Budweiser. Plain, bland, and lacking in every aspect in what a lager beer should be. Just give me my Sushi, I will venture down the street to Piper's Pub and Fatheads for my beverages!

Bottled. Pale yellow/golden, small white head, lacing. Maltish and a bit flowery aroma. Not much taste except for bitterness and a bit honey in the aftertaste. Pretty watery.

Med gold color, small head. A hoppy, somewhat malty lager. Full bodied, malty. Mouthfeel is full. Good balance. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

Decent lager. Has a good flavor that complements spicy Thai food. Generally has a flavor of corn and a little malt. Little aftertaste.
