The K-Town Triathlon, Kingston’s annual 3-part race starting in the St. Lawrence River, boasts a 30km bike trail along Hwy 2 and ends with a foot-race along the waterfront to Confederation Basin. Since the first tri- in 1984, prominent Canadian athletes have been participating in this race, including Olympic medalist Simon Whitfield of Kingston. This simple and refreshing Belgian style ale is the triathlete of King’s Town – with Saaz and Citra hops for the swim, lasting orange citrus flavour for the bike ride and sweet coriander for the final run. Straw-like in colour and cloudy with a smooth creaminess from the wheat and a dry aftertaste, this dry-hopped witbier will make you race for the finish line.
