Flan-diddly-anders Red Our version of a Flanders-style Red Ale is as tart as it is complex. A special lactic fermentation in the brew kettle provides its distinct sour fruit character that comes through in notes of cherry, pomegranate, and black currants. Specs 5.5% ABV 18 SRM 20 IBU

A very sessionable sour. Pretty close on getting the traditional Flanders red style right, every component was just a little tamer than the belgian counterparts. Pretty cool beer, awesome name!

Interesting concept... off the tap at the La Jolla location. the aroma was intense - maybe one of the most complex and intriguing beers that I've had the pleasure to experience through the olfactory... but then the other characteristics just didn't measure up. Flavor of cranberry and pomegranate were a bit over-powering and the pucker-factor (no, not that pucker-factor) were a bit too high to truly enjoy sipping. The 5 oz sampler was about all I needed.
