A traditional Berlin-style sour wheat beer, based on the meticulous research of beer historian Ron Pattinson. Big thanks to Kristen England of Pour Decisions Brewery for all of his help along the way and to our good friend Andrew Pogue, whose test batch first inspired the idea.

Sampled on 10/12/2012 at GABF. This Berliner Weiss pours a slightly hazy yellow gold color from a 750ml corked and caged bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is citrusy and tart. A medium to light bodied Berliner Weisse. The malts are fruity, citrusy and sweet. The hops are herbal. Fairly tart, but not mouth puckering tart. Nice carbonation. Light and refreshing. Nice dry tart citrusy finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is tart.

Sampled @ Jester Kings 1st anniv. tasting. The people at this brewery sure like the words 'farmhouse' and 'sour', either one or both is labeled on about everything. A pale yellow body, with a very fizzy head, aromas and flavors of wheat and sour funk that just lingers. It delivers where it promises its just not my style.
