On request of our customers we developed Jessenhofke Bruin. With this beer we fill a niche place in a niche market. The reason why so little Belgian brews organic beers exist, is that organic brown barley malt is not available in Belgium and we must import it from Germany. Due to the " Reinheitsgebot " in Germany, it is only allowed to brew beers with barley malt, hop and yeast. Weyerman is providing our special barley malts. Just like Aphrodite made a wheat beer for her Adonis, we brew for you a brown beer that will light up your dark days during the winter. We offer this beer on fusts of 20 liters and in bottles of 33 cl.

I'm sorry, i've been hyperventilating a lot lately .. . Pours a murky tan, medium head, medium lacing .. . chocolate, wheat, brown sugar, and brown bread crust .. . muddled and a bit thin, just not cricket but decent for organic .. . .
Is he wearing pads under that sweater?
No, he just does all of his shopping at the Big & Tall & Violently Misshapen Shoulders Store -

330 ml capped bottle. Poured in the original Jessenhofke tulip glass a hazy dark brown-red coloured Bruin with a one finger beige foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Mid-sized carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is moderate malty, caramel, ripe dark raisins, plums and spicy with hints of licorice. The flavour is toasted malts, brown sugar, caramel. The mouthfeel is fizzy and highly sparkling. This medium to full bodied belgian ale has a toasty malt finish. A pleasant Flandern Bruin.
