Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 10 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 10 | Overall: 10
Comes out of the tap a deep coffee brown - not much head, but this is doubtless due to the pour. The bubbles are a nice tan and leave some good lacing. Smoky, oily aroma has a strong oak wood overtone and notes of chocolate and toffee plus a hint of vanilla. Flavor has notes of roast malt, quality coffee, chocolate, vanilla and oak, plus whispers of toffee and licorice. Dee-lishus! Texture, though, seems a bit thin for a stout, and lacks fizz. The only weak point. I love JailHouse brews, and their original stout - the version with vanilla and oak is even better!
