500 ml capped bottle. Poured in a nonick pint glass a crystal clear and golden-orange coloured Blonde Ale with a one finger almost white, creamy, dense and fine foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Active carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is a quite amazing flowery hops feeling, herbal notes, a touch of honey and fruits, citrus. The flavour is sweety and toasted malts, flowery, some toffee, a touch of dried fruits, nuts and grassy hops. The mouthfeel is creamy, thick, light bitter and very smooth. The texture is oily. This medium bodied Blonde Ale has a light bitter finish. Well balanced, this Arran Blonde is, for me, a nice discover.

Golden colour, bubbly white head. Aroma is fruity hops with some sweet flowery hints. Flavour is grassy and a bit creamy honey. Very dry palate. Reminds me of some other beer, but can't remember which.

As both a geography and a stamp-collecting geek, I've always been drawn to obscure sound places from far, far away. And yet, despite 30+ years of knowing where (for example) Batum, Memel, Carpatho-Ukraine, and Tannu Tuva are (er, *were*), I confess to having never heard of the Island of Arran. So along with my inherent penchant toward obscure lands, this drew my interest in a much more traditional beer-sense....

Poured the entire lot into one of my well-worn Shipyard 20-oz tulip glasses. Rather hazy and golden in color, with a big mounding mass of foam. Wheat ale?

No, this seemed to come across to me as something of a weird Wheat Bitter, since it had aspects that reminded me of both a Wheat Ale and a more typical Bitter -- or British Pale Ale, if you insist.

Soft in the mouthfeel, but making sure the hops were giving a fairly free reign. A little mushy, IMO, but not entirely unwelcome in this instance. And I thought the flavor profile to be just barely interesting to pay attention to.

Nicely quaffable, but I really didn't notice this beer as it came into (and out of) my life. More than a bit forgettable, to be brutally honest.

This killed a thirst, after I installed a new flood light for the condo complex gratis. But then again, there are so many other beers out there that'd do the same thing, with a lot of more to say for itself along the way.

Not bad, but kinda pricey for what you end up getting out of this, IMO.

    Music: Solitude Aeturnus' "Downfall".

17 oz bottle. Light gold color. Medium sized white foamy head, with decent lacing. Aroma is orange blossoms and floral. A medium bodied blonde/golden ale. Malts are fruity and floral. Orange blossoms, apricots and peaches. Hops are surprisingly strong in this one and add some earthiness and spiciness to the malt sweetness. Soft carbonation, its sort of cask like in a bottle. I like this one; I only wish that more blonde ales would use these malts and hops. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and sooth, Aftertaste is sweet.

Light honey and apple aromas. Fairly light gold color. A little citrus bite with the hops. Lots of carbonation. Overall, fairly smooth, but nothing special. Finishes slightly bitter.

hazy blond colour with a fine head and a nice lacing, a well-hopped nose shows apricot and cream, smooth with a tart bitterness, the finish is creamy and bitter - very british and very pleasant

This is a real surprise for a Scotish beer - quite hoppy! Scottish blondes are not very commom, so this was quite a pleasant surprise. Refreshing, probably due to some wheat malt.

I found this beer very satisfying. The aroma complemented the flavour, lightly hoppy with a light bitter fresh fruity taste. A good beer with a well finished aftertaste.
