Pitch dark color, poured with a small head, which yielded great lacing. The aroma was dead, nothing to be detected with my sniffer. In the flavor was some licorice, some chocolate malts, and a definite hop touch to the finish. This one was dry in the finish and had an acidic mouthfeel (just like the Munich Dunkel Lager I had the same day). I'd rather have many a stout over this one, but it wasn't bad.
