Description A refreshing Belgian-style wheat beer with hints of coriander and orange made with 50% wheat, 50% barley, hops, water, yeast, coriander and dried orange peel. It is named in recognition of "The Spit" - Squamish's world-class windsurfing and kiteboarding venue at the head of Howe Sound. Food Pairing This light Belgian-style wheat beer, spiced with coriander and orange peel, goes well with salads, lightly flavoured vegetarian dishes, as well as milder seafood and chicken dishes. The citrus notes in this ale make it an ideal accompaniment with salmon. Awards 2008 Bronze Medal in the Taste of BC Awards. Our Bottle This re-closable bottle, known as a “pot-stopper”, was widely used in Europe and North America prior to the 1950s. Our new combination cap is an innovative design that allows closure by both crown and swing caps. It can be re-used and meets our green packaging objectives.
