Vi har brygget på denne øl i lang tid. Nu synes vi selv, at den er som vi ønsker. En meget kraftig stout med brændte toner fra ristet bygmalt, røgmalt, kaffe, en smule krydderier og som prikken over i’et: en sjat rom og herefter lagret på egetræ. Denne øl må gerne gemmes flere år i et mørkt skab eller en kælder. Men den kan altså også drikkes nu. Køb en ekstra flaske og gem den til en særlig lejlighed om nogle år. Den vil udvikle sig som god vin – bare blive bedre og bedre i mange år. Drik den i vinglas til søde desserter, chokolade eller uden noget. Cask at Copenhagen Beer Festival, gravity dispense. Black colour, no head nor carbonation. Strong aroma of rum and oak / vanilla. The flavour is quite oaky, again with strong notes of rum and vanilla. Quite enjoyable, and would no doubt be better with a little carbonation.

Bottled@EBF2008. Black opaque colour, small head. Aroma is smoke, roasted malts, caramel, alcohol and some mild wooden and earthy tones. Flavour is roasted malts, some caramel as well as mild alcohol, chocolate and coffee. A pleasant and nicely balanced stout.

Pours out in a an opaque black colour with a small pale brown head. Rich aroma of black coffee, brown sugar, vanilla, cocoa and raisins. Full-bodied with notes of coffee, burnt sugar, rum, mild spices, and milky chocolate. Long warming finish of rum, roasted malts, mild vanilla, nuts and wood.
