My first Kolsch. After reading the other two reviews, seems like it's not a very good example. Doesn't look very inviting. Tastes like dirty hops in a larger. I will have to try another in this style for comparison.

On tap at Gig's: very pale straw color, small cap. Virtually no aroma to this. Thin body, thin mouthfeel. Profile is two dimensional - weak malt presense with some light hop bite - fast clean finish. I drink a lot of Kolsch but this is a poor representation of the style - this is more like a commercial US Pilsner. There are no bad or off tastes just weak flavour, thin, vapid and uninspired. I hope this brewer's next offering is a bit more substantial.

I tried this beer on draught on June 22, 2012 at "C'est What" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a very translucent gold colour with a thin snow white head. The aroma was grainy malt, cereal, and some weak floral hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was grainy malt, cereal, with a weak bitter finish. Not a huge fan of Kolschs
