Shared 550 ml bottle from Vinmonopolet, ABV is 6.5%. The bottle is full of floaties, but not visible in the glass. Golden colour, the aroma is a little weird, but hard to describe. Hints of sea water and also some dill (Sorachi Ace). The flavour has also hints of dill and laurel leaves, but lacks the fresh lemongrass notes.

Nose is lemony and zesty, the soriachi is a nice twist to the grassy hops. Flavor is similar to the aroma, light honey bread sweetness, grass and some fruitiness. Clean and refreshing while still nuanced and interesting. Would gladly drink again.

Sampled on 5/7/2011. This golden/blond ale pours a medium to dark orange gold color from a 55cl bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, with decent lacing and adequate retention. The aroma is fruity and sweet with a touch of citrus. A medium bodied golden ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, a little bit of apricot and peaches. The hops are citrusy and spicy (Sorachi Ace!). Nice carbonation. Fruity and sweet with a nice dry finish. The Sorachi Ace hops used in this beer make a huge difference. There is none of the sweet and fruity blandness in this beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Well I went into this for some reason under the impression that it was an imperial stout.... couldnt have been more wrong... where did I get that information??? But a nice surprise, the color is a dirty cloudy orange/grapefuit. Aroma and taste start very english in inspiration, and mildly grapefruity in hop profile. Texture and taste is largely of passion fruit juice from a package. Its surprisingly smooth but has a prickly component to the carbonation. Enjoyable, but not the amazing thing I was hoping for. The White Nest is a far superior blonde ale.

Pours a typical straw yellow - not inspiring, but at least the white head is thick, frothy and persistent. Aroma is mainly yeasty with a fruity overtone and a malty undertone as well as some sweetness. Flavor is malty and fruity with a surprising hoppy tone and hints of both apple and grapefruit, as well as sweet, sour and bitter touches. Texture is smooth and a little thick, just subtly tingly. Give it a try!
