Beer we know. Food, not so much. And so we have been speaking to a number of food truck owners about coming by the brewery every day to complement the beer and give patrons a revolving choice of victuals. We’ve even built in special parking and power for them. Then we thought, ‘why not take it one step further?’ So we brewed a beer built to complement food. This easy-drinking, lighter beer is meant to spotlight, rather than compete with, tasty food-truck flavours.

The beer pours a clear metallic gold colour with a thin white film for a head. The aroma is grainy malt, some toast notes, and herbal hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is similar to a multitude of craft blonde ales out there…..grainy malt up front with a decent bitter finish. -

Pours a very slight unfiltered golden-amber colour from the can. The head is off-white, average lasting with some collar lace. Fruity malt nose with some hay and cereal grains. The taste has this fruitiness as well with the straw cereal lingering. The smell becomes a little too sweet to have too many, so probably good from the can, cold. An easy-drinking blonde ale.

Can from LCBO. Pours a huge frothy off-white head that sticks around for quite awhile and has a pale golden appearance. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of toasted and cereal malts, a little bit wheat and bread as well as subtle grass. Flavours are mostly of the malty variety, lots of bready and cereal malts, some mild citrus hops and some pine notes as well. A little bit of wheats also make an appearance.

Really opens up when poured. The two 7's at the end reflect that. Otherwise they would be a "5' and a "6" when sessioned out of a can. I denote a wee honeyish taste, but can also taste the yeast as well. It's light like you'd expect a blonde ale to be, but tasty and highly enjoyable for what it is. Alas, it's not much to look at. Really thin cap that dissipates quickly. It'd be interesting to try on tap, especially on a hot summer evening.
