Riptide white IPA is a beer brewed with a malt body similar to a Belgian style Wit with loads of torrified wheat. It’s hopped like an IPA, but we use a unique blend of Czech Saaz, French Strisselspalt, Calypso, Centennial and Cascade hops to create a big citrus nose and flavor with floral accents. To complete the feel of the wit style, we push the beer through our hopback which is loaded with Spanish sweet orange peel, Curaçao bitter orange peel, coriander, and a generous helping of hops. It’s fermented with a classic Belgian Wit yeast which provides all of the fruity and spicy notes you’d expect. We then blast the tank with our hop cannon which is loaded with Calypso, Strisselspalt, and Citra hops and more orange peel. The beer is then lightly filtered to retain all of the exceptional yeast character.

Pours a clear golden amber with a few bubbles rising within and a fairly thick, if not too persistent, ivory head. Hoppy aroma has a fruity overtone and a hint of - what? Ah, must be the spices. Herbal notes dominate the hoppy flavor, which has a nice orange tone and a hint of malt. Firm, smooth texture has a subtle tingle and leaves a hoppy, herbal finish. Get caught in this riptide!

Take two styles that can be complex on their own and I have a complex ale. Bold orange yellow colored beer with a three fingered sudsy textured off-white head rising above. The hang time on the head is short lived. A thick ringlet and persistent cap are left. Floral, grassy nose. More of that in the tasting with some banana and pepper in the tasting. Light crisp and effervescent.

Muted Witbier and IPA combination. Spicy and floral with notes of banana and bubblegum. Vibrant gold body, bit white head and layers of lacing. Airy, smooth, clean and soft to the palate, but with very little bitterness. More Belgian Pale Ale and Witbier than anything else.
