The Norwegian Hansa beers have no connection with Namibian or German (DAB) Hansa beers. This one is a fairly malty pilsener of acceptable quality, IMO one of the better Norwegian macro pilseners. There's actually a bit of flavour here. The Hansa Borg brewery group has 3 breweries: Hansa Bryggeri in Bergen, Christianssands Bryggeri (CB) in Kristiansand and Borg Bryggeri in Sarpsborg.

Was thirsty and drank this quickly. Nothing special to report about this one, A regular volume pilsener like many. But for this purpose nothing wrong with this beer. (Bergen 201206)

light and golden body, little malt, weak for the most part, but a little touch of bitter hops. Unique, but not a lot going on.

Light gold color. Small to medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is malt, grainy and grassy. A medium bodied pilsner. Malts are fruity and sweet. Mild slightly spicy hops. Nicely balanced. Smooth tasting pilsner. I realize this may sound weird or condescending to keep saying ëno objectionable flavorsí in this beer. But, Iíve had so many pale lager and pilsners lately that I feel I need to make a point of it. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Golden color, small head with pretty decent lacing and a mild bready malt aroma. Light bodied with a dry and papery malt flavor and a slight bitterness in the finish. Reasonably fresh and drinkable but nothing to write home about. Brown bottle-ex. date back label.
