Sometimes, an idea for a beer drops in our laps like an A-bomb, and such is the case for this brew. We said to ourselves: "Selves! What would happen if we hopped the beejesus out of our delicious wheat beer?" The answer was obvious. It would taste like a bitter mushroom cloud explosion of fruity goodness! So we brewed it using malted barley and wheat, with enough hops to drop the Enola Gay from the sky (look it up if you don't get it). We modified our brewhouse to fit it all in and used a special technique called hop bursting to achieve the tasty, almost peach-like aroma from a new variety of hops called Topaz. The beer is dry and fruity, with wheat beer esters of banana, all backed with an oily hop aroma of tropical fruits. The Hoptimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds!
