Bottled, occasional. A 6.0 % abv dark ale is created using a traditional brewing method of making two beers of different character and strengh, which are blended together. The beer takes its name from the racing term " Springer ", a racehorse whose odds dramatically shorten before the race. A rare but rewarding moment for those " in the know ".

Cask conditioned so 5.5% ABV on for the Wetherspoon's beer festival had sparkler taken off pour close to black beige head that lasted pretty well. Smelt like a fruit cake rich dark fruit and molasses backed up with all plus a little licorice on the tongue smooth easy drinking pint.

500 ml clear bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 6.0%. Mahogany coloured beer, big to moderate off-white to beige head. Nice aroma of "dusty" and fruity English hops, hints of caramel and berries. The flavour is malty with hints of caramel, honey and some fruit. Some "dusty" hops in the finish, but not much bitterness.

500 ml bottle. Poured a clear oak burgundy colored ale with a good one finger beige foamy head that had a mid-sized retention. Active carbonation. No lacing. The aroma is ripe dark fruits, raisins, plums, toasted malts,caramel, wood. The flavour is heavy sweety malts, spicy, licorice, molasses, cookies, faint floral hops. The mouthfeel is slight crispy and very smooth although a bit sticky. This medium bodied ale has a long dark fruity finish. An easy drinkable ale.
