Generous sample @ #KnoxBeerCrew tasting. Deep brown/near-black pour, very tight tan head that is well-lived, ample lacing. Deeply roasted malts aroma, hint of java, some dark chocolates, earthy hops. Taste is rich toasted maltiness, with cocoa and coffee mildly in the background, ending with a nice dose of earthy hops to linger and offset any sweetness. Nice brew.
