A style pretty much lost to history, still brewed by a single brewery in Berlin and a handful of US craft brewers. This is a tart, crisp and refreshing beer. Brewed with 50% wheat and soured with lactobacillus, purists will enjoy it on its own, but it is available also with your choice of natural raspberry or blueberry syrup for sweetness.

Pours a hazy golden with a respectable eggshell head. Aroma has strong sour fruity and yeasty overtones. Flavor is mainly sour fruit with hints of malt and yeast. Mouthfeel is lively and firm all the way down. This is a style worth trying and appreciating!
