Originally rated Jan.2018. Bottle from LCBO. Pours a massive frothy brownish head and has a deep dark brown, almost pitch black appearance. Some big sticky dirty lacing. Somewhat excessive carbonation. Aromas of dark roasted malts, chocolate/cocoa, coffee, and earthy hops. Flavours are on the sweet side, lots of chocolate and caramel notes, dark roasted malts. Also some coffee, licorice, herbal, and woody notes. Some mild hop bitterness in the finish. Slick and slightly oily mouthfeel. Smooth and pretty easy to drink. High abv but extremely enjoyable. Great stuff!

Pours a really dark brown beer with matching head of somewhat thin bubbles that eagerly fizzed away. Deep aroma of chocolate, caramel and roasted malt. The sweetness gives way quickly to bitterness of a floral and pine hop. I've had the oak aged version before, and I seem to remember enjoying it more than this one.

Pours a black colour without any highlights. The head is huge, creamy, bubbly, frothy, mocha-coloured with excellent, everlasting retention and creamy lacing. Roasted malt aromas with some chocolate, vanilla and coffee notes. The taste is bitter with dark chocolate, burnt malts and grassy hops. The mouthfeel is slick, wet, but with a little dryness in the finish. Alcohol is well-hidden in the hoppiness. Quite a nice hoppy, bitter, Imperial Stout.

Aroma of this beer is pure delight - thick and oily, strongly of fine coffee with hints of molasses, miso and unsweetened chocolate. It pours a deep, rich, warm, opaque sable with a very thick and fairly persistent tan head. Flavor does not disappoint - it is strongly chocolaty with coffee and malty tones and hints of toffee plus a bit of a hoppy bitter bite. Texture is thick and smooth, and fairly tingly so you know that you’re drinking a fine beer. Almost perfection, this one!

Pours a pitch black With a 2 finger black brown head. So black I can't tell if it is carbonated. Aroma is very roasted with hints of dried fruits, chocolate and metal. Taste is heavily roasted with hints of dried fruits, Swiss miss, and bitters. Fishes off dry and creamy. Very good but they could have laid off the malt a little.

22 oz bottle. Pours inky black with a big creamy brown head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is roasted chocolate malts and raisins with a little chalkiness.

The flavor is roasted black patent malt with a little chocolate and dark fruit. There's a good amount of bitterness from the roast. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a decent addition to the yetis. A bit too much bitter roast, and I don't notice much from the oatmeal or raisin.

cool...someone beat me to the punch to add this...but didn't put the brewery name in there ;) The ONLY knock on this beer is you can tell it's young. Just a slight nuance to the aroma, feel, and aftertaste. I had it super fresh, though, so that may already be a thing of the past. With the exception of Espresso Yeti, I like em with 6-9 months on em. Black pour, SUPER smooth body. All the roasted goodness of yeti, less hops, slightly sweeter finish with the raisins, which probably weren't necessary, but were still damn good. I will miss Belgo Yeti, but this is a worthy follow up.

Extremely dark brown pour, thin brown head dissipated to leave a ring. Looks great for a while. Chocolate and burnt toast aroma. Tastes great. Espresso, dark chocolate, licorice, some spiciness, alcohol and a bitter finish. Smooth mouth feel makes this so easy to drink. If it were possible I would drink this all day.

What a wonderful beer all around. Chocolate, toffee, anise, with a bit of booze in the nose. Flavor mirrors the smells and finishes with a bit of an alcohol burn and warms as it goes down. Its not a super sticky imp and it looks amazing, really well done.

Bottled on November 8th, 2012. Pours a very creamy black with a sub white finger chocolate milk colored head that goes away very fast. Aroma is very malty with strong hints of black chocolate and coffee. Taste is very complex, strong hints of coffee with the overall roastiness of the body. Big alcohol burn to it as it goes down with a metallic ending. This beer is not for everyone but is very good.
