Double Wit is our more muscular take on the beloved white ales of Belgium. Unmalted wheat and Belgian malted barley give the beer a light body and straw hue, while coriander and curaçao provide the traditional notes of spice and light acidity. This cloudy, deceptively drinkable creation should be enjoyed without the addition of fruit. 8.1% ABV.

A typical American take on the Belgian white style, although the aroma and flavour found within this beer are superior to most American wits. A hazy yellow pour with a snow white head that emits the beautiful aromas associated with wheat, coriander and oranges. The flavour is zesty and yeasty with a nice balance of refreshment

Be careful when you open this - the sample I got foamed as though doing so would help the Cubs finally win the World Series again. It pours a clear sunny yellow with a VERY thick white head that leaves some decent lacing. Aroma is not strong, but is fruity and malty with a bit of sweetness, inviting a taste. Flavor is malty, fruity, grassy and just a little sweet, rather enjoyable. Texture is smooth and a bit fizzy, leaving a sweet and herby finish. If this isn't Great Divide's best, it is still worthy of at least a try.

It pours a hazy and non-transparent golden-yellow with a thick white head and some lacing. An aroma of wheat malts, mango, lemon and citrus, bread and yeast, and peppers and spices. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of wheaty malts, light hops, lemon-citrus, light mango, some banana, and mild spices. Delicious!

A hazy golden colored beer. Big frothy textured, white head rises above. Some hang time and a nice lacing of film on the glass and ringlet atop the body. A blend of coriander, pepper, wheat and yeasty bread in the nose and in the flavors. A medium bodied and smoothness makes this a pretty good beer.

I truly enjoy most wits but I not had a double wit that has knock my socks of yet. That being said this is still a very nice beer.

Smells of coriander and and zest some yeasty notes as well. Pours A hazy weak yellow with foamy head that does last. Mouth feel is classic great divide but the finish was too carbonated. Flavor was not exactly wit. There was some spice and orange but not enough to make it a double...

A sweet, fruity aroma - almost too much so with the maltiness charateristic of this type of brew. It's not as complex as others and lacks the balance that I would expect. Not bad, but not great.

22 oz bottle. Pours a hazy light yellow with a huge frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet fruit, musty yeast and some spices (corriander).

The flavor is bready malts and earthy yeast with some sweet citric fruit and spices and some decent bitterness at the end. The alcohol is well hidden with some warming that sneaks up. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a decent wit beer, but doesn't quite balance well. More odd notes comes out as it sits.
