Never had a bad Yeti yet. It’s a shame this one had to retire. Dark brown almost black pour. Large brown head doesn’t last long but leaves a slick spotty lacing. Chocolate malt and dark fruit aroma. Flavour is a mix of great imperial stout stuff. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, fruit, cocoa, hint of licorice and a bit of spice. Belgium yeast seems a little more subdued than in previous bottles. Although this one is a bit older. Full bodied ,thick, rich and velvety smooth. Next “Yeti”, please.

Sampled from bottle. Pours opaque black-brown with a lasting tan head and nice lacing. Chocolate and coffee aroma. Balanced. Dominant roast flavor. Subtle yeast spiciness. Yeti is always good.

Pours black with medium sized tan head that lingers well with a nice bit of lacing. The aroma is a little bit of the belgian yeast. Some banana is present. Lots of toasted malt. There is a little bit of chocolate present. The taste is unusual with a heavy toasted malt and a little bit of chocolate. A smokey character was present and very unexpected. More alcohol taste than I expected too. The mouthfeel seems a little thin for a Yeti.

Shared bottle at local tasting, bought at Systembolaget, Sweden. Pitch black colour, moderate brown head. Lovely aroma, Belgian yeast and strong roasty notes, dark chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Roasty flavour, medium sweet, the same elements as in the aroma. Excellent beer.

Quite awesome! Pours black brown with a tan head...super smooth mouthfeel, chocolaty aroma, great flavor. I've enjoyed most of the Yeti's and this one does not disappoint..

A deep black colored beer with a big frothy textured tan head rising robustly above. Good Hang time. Settles eventually into a thick ringlet and film aside the glass. A light nose of roastiness, dark fruit and licorce. Big alcohol presence on the tongue. Dark fruits, coffee, chocolate, roasty malt dance in perfect harmony on the tongue. Full bodied and syrupy.

Kinda leery about this one at first, belgian yeast/ imp stout?? The good thing about this was the belgian yeast was hardly noticeable and the yeti base was true to form, a little bit of the yeasts did come through as it warmed but it was a complimentary role. Overall not too shabby.

Highly tempting aroma has firm tones of sweet chocolate and hay with a strong undertone of quality coffee and nutty, caramel and brown sugar hints. It pours a gorgeous opaque dark-chocolate brown with a respectable, if not persistent, light tan head that leaves quite a bit of lacing. Semi-sweet chocolate dominates the smoky flavor, which has coffee, nutty, molasses and licorice notes - quite the lip-smacker! Full-bodied texture is fairly fizzy, leaving behind a smoky, slightly sweet tingling finish. A must! Look for it, or trade for it!

22oz bottle. Pours a dark black-brown with a smallish light brown head that quickly goes to a thin collar.

The aroma is sweet lactic chocolate, roasted malts and grains, black licorice, some smoke, and a little alcohol.

The flavor is a bit subdued for a yeti - some sweet grains, peaty malts, a watery middle, and a charred bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and pretty watery.

Overall, it's a bit more subdued than the other Yetis, but still nice. I didn't really get any Belgian characteristics, but a lot of peaty smoke comes out as it warms which was interesting. Not as good as the regular or the Chocolate Yetis.
