This delightfully hefty "double bockbier" is a beautifully complex beer with a sweet, nutty and pronounced caramel palate. The strength is obtained from a generous malt bill of a variety of imported German malted barley, a double mash, and a long, cold lagering. Prost!!!

Another good version of a doppelbock. Not sure why the new recipe. I LOVED the old one. This is good, though. Hearty, sweet liquid bread, with a hint of nuttiness and a long caramel finish.
