Irish Ale is a special blend of four types of malted barley and three varieties of hops. This Ale is characterized by its sweet malty flavor and refreshing light scent. The rich red color is very distinctive to the origins of this style of Ale. Awards: World Beer Cup, Gold 2002-03, Silver 1997, 2001, Bronze 2002.

A couple pitchers of these on St. PAtty's Day weekend. Poured an orangeish copper colour with medium sized white head. Creamy top, whether you believe it or not. Aroma is faint, find a picture to paint. With soft caramel, wheat and peat. Taste is light but satisfying.

This Irish courtesy of pfoxjohn. Pours a light amber with a thin head and some carbonation. Aromas of roasted malts and very slight hops with just a touch of caramel. Taste is smooth although just a bit thin with a nice malt base and easy finish.

Poured a clear red-hued bronze with a thin tan head; offers a light, sweet malt aroma. Pleasant caramel and malt flavor with accompanying slight hop background. Medium body with good balance and a clean, ripe, soft malt finish. This is probably my favorite of the Grays' brews, and a regular offering at our St. Patrick's Day gatherings.

smells wonderful and pours a very nice amber color. no head nor lace which probably leads to its somewhat flat flavor. it is very nutty in taste. not bad, but flat...

The is caramel and malt on the nose. The taste has a little molasses and sweetness. However, this does not turn me off, like the other reviewers. Lots of malt. A nice light, spring beer. A light brown, clear color.
