North Carolina’s Outer Banks, and Corolla Beach in particular, are home to one of the few herds of horses still roaming in the wild today. The origins of these horses are unknown, though they appear to be descendants of Spanish mustangs and many believe they were abandoned or swam ashore from shipwrecks in the middle of the 15th century. They have roamed in the wild for hundreds of years, and were even noted in explorers’ journals as early as 1710, 66 years before the Declaration of Independence! Mustang Beach is brewed with malted barley, wheat, tropical American hops and Key Limes, and finished with natural cilantro essence, making it the perfect beverage for your own exploration, or your own beach. With this brew we pay homage to these free-spirited equines, and the free spirit in each of us.
