Light is produced with 100% imported malted barley and hops from Bavaria and is the only light beer brewed to the stringent Germany Purity Law (the Reinheitsgebot). Like all Gordon Biersch beers it is aged for 5 weeks at freezing and is naturally carbonate. This beer has a wonderful full flavor with a crisp clean aftertaste that just melts away. It has a deep golden color, 130 calories, 9.5 g carbohydrates, and 4.8% alcohol by volume.

Tap. SF. From notes. Pretty much as expected. Passable straw yellow beer, hay, corn and light hops. Nothing to get excited about or be offended by. Hit the spot with a meal, but that's about it.

Pours out to a straw, yellow color with a head that subsides rather quickly and leaves no lacing. The aroma is of bread and hops, very faint. The taste is quite light, with the taste of bread coming through. The hops taste really doesn't provide too much of a presence to even out the alcohol aftertaste. The mouthfeel is also rather thin and bland, with very little in the way of carbonation. Not bad for a "light" beer!

Bought as part of a Gordon Biersch pack. Horrid. We had trouble drinking it especially when you had the opportunity to drink the other ones. Very flat with no flavor. Do not try.

Clear, watery yellow. Misty head. There’s a slight grassiness to the aroma. The first few sips are surprisingly malty (straw). Not bad, although the further into the beer the you get the blander it gets.
