The brewer has produced an homage to the General’s magnificent escape in the spring of 1778. A self-imposed test of his skill and talent, the brewer has (hopefully) created a Belgian-inspired, low-alcohol brew that still has the flavor to match its high-octane brethren. He does warn not to expect a trend, however!

    Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7

Poured a hazy brown color with a thin, off white head that left sparce lacing on the glass. Aroma of dried fruits, banana, chocolate, yeast, vanilla, and spices. Taste of dried fruits, notably plums, chocolate, some roast, some citrus fruits, lightly bitter, and a dry yeasty finish. Somewhat thin mouthfeel, but for a 2.8% ale, this is awesome. I read that we shouldn’t expect this as a trend, but Chris, if you’re reading this, this is an awesome LA beer that has nice flavor.
