This is the first of our "terroir beers" made with local hand-picked organic hops from Jeff and Sue Klug's farm just north of Gananoque. This beer is ideal for gathering around the neighbourhood pub with great food and amazing friends, staying warm as the temperatures are sure to drop this week. Shiver has a chocolaty look and has subtle hints of chocolate taste, maltier than our Train Wreck Strong Ale, with a clean finish

The beer pours a dark reddish brown colour with a this light brown coloured head. The aroma is dark fruit, Christmas spices, and some roasted malt. Mouthfeel is medium bodied witrh average carbonation. Flavour is spiced roasted malt, with a hint of bitter hops in the finish. A decent tasting beer but so far from an eisbock that I would have expected.
