The third beer in the Past Masters series was first brewed on Thursday, September 10th 1931. The origins of the Old Burton style have changed over the course of the 20th Century, but this version is brewed to the authentic recipe - a true recreation of a wonderful long-lost beer. A rich, golden ale with a big malt character and an incredible balance of sweetness and warmth on the palate.

Sample from bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2013. Brown colour, moderate off-white head. Surprisingly moderate aroma, malts and a hint of fruit cake. Rich malty flavour, not too sweet, with a firm hoppy bitterness in the finish. Well balanced and drinkable.
