Clear amber small off-white foam head. Decent bitter aroma and likewise taste, a nice British Bitter. Lasting aftertaste. would like to try the draft. (Velp 201409)

500 ml capped bottle. Poured in the original Fuller's shaker pint glass a clear dark-amber chesnut coloured Bitter with a generous one finger slightly beige creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is mild caramel malts, fruity, nuts and floral hops. The flavour is mild caramel malts, grainy, fruity, nuts, floral and citrussy hops. The mouthfeel is slight crispy, a bit sparkling and very smooth. This light bodied ale has a dry bitter finish. A very easy drinkable Bitter, very refreshing and ... a good one.

They call me mellow yellow! This is a mild tasting beer that goes down very well. There was a decent amount of hops in the aroma to go along with the cereal malt. The flavour was cool and refreshing with a lot of crispness. As with the aroma, cereal malt dominates in the end.

I tried this beer on draught on April 30, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was translucent light red with a loose white head. The aroma was grainy malt, with some hops in the mix. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with medium-high carbonation. The taste was more grainy malt, and a nice hoppy finish. The beer was very refreshing, and definitely worth another try. -

(Forced Draught) Deep golden colour, mediumsized white heas, which vanishes fast. Aroma has some caramellish malts and hops in it. Flavour is caramel and hops, but quite watery. Quite boring brew. 56656
Cask (only got a half of a half-pint, a.k.a. end of cask). Amber colour, not much head. Citrus and grass in the overall hoppy aroma. Flowery hops along with some fruity hints in flavour. Quite grassy notes also. Felt quite watery, but still nice for being only 3.5%. 6 5 6 6 6 -

Cask conditioned at the Blackbird, Earls Court, London (a Fuller's pub). Served at cellar temperature, minimal natural carbonation, low head. Golden to amber colour. Moderate citrussy aroma, hints of horse stable. Light bodied, decent bitterness. A nice little beer this one, but nothing to knock your socks off. (I admit I really wanted the ESB, but ratings are ratings!)

Refreshing, hoppy amber ale with slightly sweet aroma, malty notes throughout, and a fruity, bitter, dry aftertaste. Wonderful! A classic example of the style.

My least favourite of the Fullers beers, it is OK, but you normally wouldn't bother if you can have Pride or ESB. Hoppy, citrusy aroma, hops in the taste, but the watery mouthfeel dominates. Dry with a light bitter finish.

Sampled at Mad Bishop & Bear, London. hand-pumped, cask conditioned. Hoppy, malty nose. Nicely bitter.

Considering this has a low ABV, it definitely packs some flavour, tasty and hoppy, pretty good.
