12 oz bottle. Pours dark black brown with a big creamy tan head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is roasted chocolate malt, black licorice and a little fruit.
The flavor is roasted chocolate malts, black licorice and some dark fruit and an ashy bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a nice imperial stout. -

Bottle from PfoxyJohn by way of dansting. Slightly thin black pour, tight tan head, nice lacing. Roasted malt nose and flavors, dark chocolates, slight molasses, some ripe fruits. Very nice as it warms. Thanks John and Dan!

If this is an imperial stout then I am a master brewer from Bagalor India. To start, its Brown, and clear brown. Smells a little roasted but no licorice. Flavor is sourish with metallic notes that typically mark a cheaply made beer. Not a winner.

A black appearance on this one. The aroma is a tad smokey with some chocolate, coffee, and some dark fruits maybe grapes? The flavor is a bit sour but also a little bit sour with some chocolate, coffee, and more dark fruit. Nothing amazing but a solid beer anyways.

Tasted at Noogfest 4.0 (2008). This Imperial Stout pours a dark black color from the growler. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is chocolate and coffee. A medium bodied Imperial Stout. The malts are chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. The hops are earthy. Lots of roasted malt flavors, a touch astringent. Some dark fruit as well. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with some roasted malts.

This beer has a dark brown to black body topped by a thin to medium thick tan head with a good amount of lacing left on the glass. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty with a slight fruitiness and a slight smokiness. The flavor is slightly sweet yet bitter and malty with a slight smokiness and a touch of licorice and fruit. The finish is bitter. Full bodied and smooth.
