To the committed beer drinker, the traditional pilsner style can feel like a trusted old friend: comfortingly predictable and, if not exactly fashionable, at least always around when everything and everyone else is just, well, too much. So imagine the shock when your trusted and true old buddy Pils starts suddenly sporting a nasty hop tattoo, taking salsa lessons, and talking back to the beer elders. Then friends, it’s a whole New World! Four Fathers’ crisp and thirst-quenching New World Pilsner — with its light grainy notes and soft citrus and floral hop character — might still be a bit of a traditionalist at heart. But the arm chair has been ditched for a trail bike, and they might be too busy to text for a while. Hey Pils, we like the new you!

The beer pours a hazed straw yellow with a thin snow white film for a head. The aroma is tropical citrus, grains, and yeast. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is tropical fruit and grass. There is nothing ‘pilsener’ about this beer, this is more of a juicy IPL. -

Can that pours a clean light-golden colour with a frothy white cap, average retention, but lots of bubbly-foamy thick lacing all-around. Aromas of malts, but with a nice bright happiness to it - with mild citrus, lighter grassiness and even hints of melon. The taste shows the hops a little more than your usual pilsner. Still, decent spiciness to it, but with more grass notes that linger longer. Becomes a tad hazy at last pour. Nice and dry. Another good India Session Lager.
