Mango Magnifico con Calor [Magnificent Mango with Heat] is a never-before-released, high-gravity fruit beer brewed with mango and a touch of Michigan-grown habaneros. Each 750mL bottle of this 10% ABV ale is intended to be shared. Not a traditional fruit beer, the delicate tropical fruit in Mango Magnifico is punctuated by a hint of heat, increasing the overall depth of flavor and adding another level of complexity. A refreshing drink for the warm summer months. We’ve had success with our interpretation of fruit beers, including the likes of Cerise, Rubaeus and Blushing Monk. But Mango Magnifico is one-of-a-kind.

Pours clear dark amber with a thick but effervescent pale buff head. Malty aroma presents a firm, sweet mango overtone. Flavor delivers what the aroma promises - then injects a firm peppery note, not enough to make your eyes spin, but it gets your attention. Mouthfeel features firm body, if not much fizz. Meant to be shared? Drat - I should have saved this for my next bottle share meeting. What the hey, I’ll drink it slowly - and maybe get another one.

750 ml bottle, 2016 version. Pours hazy golden orange with a big bubbly white head that quickly diminishes and leaves little lacing.
The aroma is sweet mango and tropical fruit with some floral vanilla coming out as it warms.
The flavor is sweet mango with some chalky vanilla malts and a big spicy chili finish with a good amount of heat. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, the mango and pepper interplay is interesting. I don't really care for the chalky vanilla. -

Gotta start off by saying i am a fan of Founders. Nice aromas of sweet mangos, some other tropical fruits are mixed in as well, some maltiness and heat from the peppers. The flavor started out rather sweet, mangoes of course bu the heat kicked in really fast it got tob be overwhelming rather quickly. the sweetness was a bit too much, and the heat is way overboard, a good idea to mix the flavors but it just didnt work out for me.
