Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5
12 oz can. Pours dark amber with a medium creamy tan head that retains fairly and leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is roast chocolate malt with some acidic and burnt grain notes..
The flavor is sweet chocolate malt and lactose with some acidic, slightly burnt, roast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, more of a roasty brown than stout. I remember liking the original chocolate stout a lot more than this.
