This full bodied, rich and creamy dessert stout was conditioned on toasted coconut and vanilla beans. A variety of dark roasted malts provide a delicious backdrop of dark chocolate and espresso flavours. It’s a beauty.

500ml bottle from the brewery, pouring a pitch black colour (no highlights) with a smaller creamy, frothy warm mocha-coloured head that sits around looking like Nespresso. Some light lacing spot are left. The coconut and vanilla blend together to add some sweetness to the nose, over the roasted malts. Hints of coffee and dark fruits are there as well. Smooth, silky, kind of oily mouthfeel with just enough hops to give the bitterness and dry finish a boost. This cuts through the rich debut in the mouth. Licorice, burnt barley, coffee, chocolate, coconut and mild vanilla for flavours. It is richer than I expected from this brewery, but if you want a nice dessert beer with a nice smooth punch - this is it.
