We took our Belgian Blonde Ale and aged a portion in an oak foeder with Brett C for 5 months, then bottle conditioned it for another month. The result is an exercise in patience that expresses funk, hay, apricot, pineapple, and earthy notes. Bone dry and very bubbly, this one is not to be missed. As usual with our Foeder Series, once it’s gone, it’s gone!

750ml bottle from the brewery, pouring a clean golden colour with nice tiny bubble carbonation, a good white, creamy-frothy cap, retention and streaky, foam lacing. Funky Brett aromas with mild earthiness, sourness and a nice blend of wine-grape notes. Gets hazy as it pours with some big enough particles. The mouthfeel is smooth, kind of refreshing with a light dryness in the finish. The foeder really shines in the taste, blending some vanilla, wood - lingering. Enough hops to give it some grassiness, cutting the richness. Hints of citrus as well. Quite a nice Belgian-style, Brett, stronger blonde that is all well-balanced.
