A full bodied traditional real ale with a strong silky taste of the malted grain. A simple combination of hops creates a bitter sweet taste combination to compliment the distinctive character of this powerful ale. Dark in colour and crisper than Paxtons Pride with an alcohol content of 5% abv. Brewed with Challenger and Fuggles hops. This beer give an immediate bite when first consumed and then draws into a mellow malty flavour. The River Towy/Afon Tywi which rises in the Cambrian Mountains meanders some seventy miles and flows directly behind the brewery before entering the sea at Llanstephan, is the inspiration behind this beer. The river is also well known for its Salmon and Sea Trout.
