Brewed with lactose and with vanilla and coffee added. Even More JCs, a 12 percent ABV “affogato-style imperial stout” brewed with lactose and conditioned on coffee and vanilla beans. An affogato—which translates to drowned from Italian—is a coffee-based drink that is usually made up of a shot of espresso poured over a scoop of vanilla gelato or ice cream. A few times in the history of craft beer it has happened that a highly praised beer maker rises beyond mortal stardom into a higher godly league. Usually the recipe to become such a divine hero you need crazy juice skills, a fake Minnesota dialect and a cool and exotic sounding name like Jean-Claude - it’s Even More JCs - an affogato style imperial stout.

Jan. 2020: Shared 440 ml can. Black colour, minimal brown head. Aroma of roast malts, lactose, molasses, vanilla and coffee - kind of sickly sweetish. Very sweet flavour, with the same elements as the aroma. Alcoholic. Too sweet.

Pours deep coffee sable with a thick and persistent cocoa head. Aroma presents roast malt, quality coffee, sweet vanilla, and hints of hops and chocolate. Rich flavor fills the mouth with coffee, sweet vanilla, chocolate, roast malt, a hint of piney hops. Mouthfeel delivers full, smooth body and peppy fizz. Let it drown your troubles. ;)
