Poor appearance but at least it's black. Aroma of berries and chocolate. Sweet flavour with dark chocolate, plum, ash, soy and licorice. Medium/ full sticky mouthfeel. Bold flavoured as usual from Evil Twin. Good name too.

I picked this gem up from the Wine Gourmet in Roanoke, VA. These Bjergsø brothers REALLY know how to make a beer and they OWN stouts. Another fantastic beer - this one from the Evil Twin. Dark, 3-finger head, chocolate, coffee, heavy. A GREAT beer.

Heavy looking dark brown with a tall rocky cap that stays around way to long. Dam what did I just drink!!!! This is a different beast!! Aroma is big and filled with apple, I'm detecting some kind of spicy heat, plums, molasses, hints of alcohol and something burnt. Flavour is big and burnt, ash, sweet plum, chocolate, hints of coffee. I'm loving this beer. Big burnt sugar with a lingering bitterness in the finish that last forever. Good good brew.

Comes out of the bottle a rich, warm sable with a thick tan head. Have a nice thirsty towel handy, though - my sample fizzed quite a bit! Smoky aroma has coffee, licorice and chocolate notes plus a curious, though not repulsive, fishy hint. Flavor has typical good notes of semi-sweet chocolate, coffee, molasses and licorice. Texture has firm body and a good amount of fizz, though the tingle does not last long. Overall, not the best Imperial Stout I've had, nor Evil Twin's best - but a respectable stout and worth a purchase.

light in body for 10% but smooth as glass. chocolate, hops, roast, fairly sweet flavor. seems like this could very well be the base beer, or very similar to the base of Soft Dookie. Well done.

Had a glass of this at the Devil's Den in Philly last Friday. The name alone was enough to get me to try this beer, but the description looked good as well. A good beer. Well balanced and spicy. Dark brown, with average head. Worth a try if you can find it.

Shared bottle, gusher. Dark brown colour, tan head. Roasty and spicy aroma. Roasty flavour with Christmas spices. Peppery and hoppy bitter finish. Good beer.
