Have drunk this many times, mostly on draught, but more recently bottled. Good looking dark beer with ruby hints, low aroma. Good mouthfeel and lingering taste. Excellent mild

Roast chocolate malt and a good hop balance have won numerous awards for this classic english mild. If you haven't got on with mild before try this - it's the real thing, owing nothing to caramel additives. It has a good dry mouth feel, bursting with flavour.

Cask conditioned at the Alexandra Hotel ("The Alex"), Derby. Very dark ruby colour, nearly black. Low thick head. Aroma of leather and roasted malts. Very smooth and drinkable with a well balanced roastiness. Coffee elements. A truly enjoyable dark mild!
