E.J. Phair Pilsner is a Czech style lager. It is very well balanced, golden colored beer, with a malty profile and abundant saaz hops in the finish. It is both refreshing and satifying on hot summer days or any other time a lighter, flavorful beer is desired.

Horribly not impressed, the amount of carbonation in mine made the beer foam consistently over the brim of the glass for a few moments. The smell is opf metal and the aroma may be wheat. The mouthfeel is an average pils, crisp and thin. overall this beer is down there with bmc.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white fluffy white head. Aroma is fruity hops, salt water, malts and hops. Flavour is fruity hops, some malts and mild spicing. Wellbalanced. Long citrus frutiy aftertaste.

This one is widely available in most NorCal stores. I'd never really gotten a chance to try it until the tasting. Aroma is cream corn, sweet with not much hop profile. Appearance is clear, nice head, white and appealing. Flavor had a saazy, hoppy bite but not much else. Didn't seem really refined. Not bad though.

Orange gold color. Small head. Aroma is malty and sweet. A medium bodied pilsner. Malts are nutty, fruity and fairly sweet. Hops are spicy and slightly bitter. Not a bad pilsner, it has some flavor and bite to it. Nicely balanced. Light and refreshing. A touch sweet and perhaps a touch watery, but a nice beer nonetheless. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
