This brew is a drier version of our session #9 grisette recipe. It uses a different yeast strain and a variation on the fermentation process to yeid a hoppier flavor. Hop strains; EKG, Simcoe a & Saas.

Feb 21, 2009 Yep, this only resembles the session #9 in looks only. From a growler, poured into two large 24 oz clear glasses. Looks like a hefe. Initial taste is more personality than I care for, especially since the session #9 was so tart & tasty. Seems like a fairly medium high alky brew, not really a session. Tatse mellows out somewhat thru the session. Leaves very interesting lacing on the glass. Has a bitter bite developing on the back of the throat. Much more bitterness builds a hoppy personality. Seems much stronger than the typical EE session brew. Lingering medicinal bitter lasts for many minutes after the session. Somewhat biting citrus personalit. Not bad but I miss the tart funky smooth #9.
