Black with a light brown rind. Sweet and fruity aroma of over-riped cherries, dark chocolate, dades and alcohol. Sweet and full flavour of cherries, black coffee, plums, figs and alcohol. Hot and sweet finish of coffee, pepper, chocolate sauce and figs.

Bottled@GBBF2007- Dark ruby red colour, small head. Aroma is alcohol, oxidation, acideic hops along with some dark fruits, vanilla and slight roast. Flavour is pretty much the same. Really nice palate.

500 ml bottle, bought in Scarborough. Bottle conditioned. ABV is 10%. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Unusual perfumed aroma, dark fruits, liqueur, some oak, chocolate and liquorice. Very intense perfumed and sweet flavour, surprisingly moderate roastiness, notes of liquorice, hints of tar. Moderate hops in the finish. Not an easy drinking beer, but definitely something out of the ordinary.
