a nice simple dark lager. lacking in complexity but rather tasty in it's lightly roasted malt flavors and aroma. little hopping to speak of, light bodied, and slightly chocolatey.

It pours a very dark-brown with thin light-tan head and some solid lacing. The aroma is of coffee, light chocolate, oranges, light mint, some molasses, and mild spice. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of roasted malts, coffee bean, light chocolate, hops, light mint, lime, yeast, light molasses, and mildly spicy. Solid .. very good!

12 oz bottle. Pours a ruby brown with a medium frothy off white head that retains fairly well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet grainy, worty malts with some chocolate.
The flavor is sweet chocolate malts and grains, nuts and a bit of an acidic slightly sour twang. The mouthfeel is light bodied and a little watery.
Overall, lots of raw grainy off notes. Not too good. -

When fresh this beer is a very nice dark lager. IT is not overly sweet and thick like others in the category. Smells somewhat roasty on the nose with some bread and a bit of malt. Pours a reddish brown color with some offish white head that goes away quick. Mouthfeel is a pleasant medium but like many of Durnago's beers it lacks in the carbonation. Flavor is malty and sweet with some dry roast going on. Some hops are noticeable on the end. When fresh it is a nice offering... Hard to find it this way because it sits in the stores for a long time.
